Faculty of Science

Hello, I’m Matt Adams, Science Faculty Librarian.

These pages are designed to help you find all the information you need for your academic work. From first year assignments right through to your dissertation, you will need to use a range of academic sources such as textbooks, journal articles and databases. If you’re new to the library and not sure where to start, have a look at the posts below or, for more specific information, go to the page for your school or department.

And if you would like to arrange a 1:1 with me, fill out the contact form here.

*Please be aware that these pages are a work in progress and I am adding new content all the time. If there is information missing or you can’t find what you’re looking for, please contact me*

Subject Resources

As you progress through your course, you will need to become familiar with online resources that are more specialist for your particular subject area. As well as cross-discipline databases like Science Direct, each subject has other databases and resources that are aimed specifically at those students.

It’s a good idea to use these to help you find the information that is most relevant and specific to your subject. You can easily view the most recent posts for each subject. Click on the links below or use the main menu at the top of the page for more support.
