Information for Science students

Hello, I’m Matt Adams, Science Faculty Librarian.

This blog is designed to help you find all the information you need for your academic work. From first year assignments right through to your dissertation, you will need to use a range of academic sources such as textbooks, journal articles and databases. If you’re new to the library and not sure where to start, have a look at the posts below or, for more specific information click on the category for your subject.

And if you would like to arrange a 1:1 with me, fill out the contact form here.

Subject Resources

As you progress through your course, you will need to become familiar with online resources that are more specialist for your particular subject area. As well as cross-discipline databases like Science Direct, each subject has other databases and resources that are aimed specifically at those students.

It’s a good idea to use these to help you find the information that is most relevant and specific to your subject. You can easily view the most recent posts for each subject – just click on the relevant categories to the side of the page or from the drop down menu at the bottom of the page.
