Parts two and three of this series of posts on finding case law in Westlaw will look at how you can access the Westlaw database itself.

There are two ways to access the library’s subscription to Westlaw: (1) you can access it directly from the A-Z list of databases; (2) you can search for it in OneSearch.
This post will look at how to access Westlaw directly from the A-Z list of databases.

Select W from the A-Z database list to see the link to Westlaw.
Clicking on W from the A-Z list of databases will reveal links to all databases beginning with the letter W. From here, you can click on Westlaw.
When you click on Westlaw, you will be asked to log in using your Hope network ID and password.

Log in using your Hope network ID and password.
Click login, and you will be taken to the Westlaw homepage, which is where you will be able to begin your search for case law.
