The library’s new and updated discovery tool which provides access to all material types through a single search bar, making it a quick and efficient way of searching for information. OneSearch is an enhanced version of its predecessor, Online Library, meaning that the features users are familiar with all remain, including find a journal, find a resource and links to individual databases. Staff and students retain access to all the databases, journals, and other content of Online Library. In addition, OneSearch offers a number of improved features, such as the ability to search the library catalogue, to save and re-run searches, email alerts highlighting new and relevant content and easy-to-save favourites. OneSearch also offers additional convenience, with users able to sign in with their existing network ID and password, an auto-renewals feature meaning books that are not reserved by anyone else will be automatically renewed. It also gives users access to their library account on the same page as the single search bar. The Library is excited to join the list of academic libraries around the world using OneSearch when it is launched on January 9th, 2019.
