Books for Robotics Students

Start by looking at your course reading list or any recommended reading that your lecturers suggest. If there’s a particular book you want then simply enter the title into the library catalogue. Alternatively, you can search by entering a subject, keyword or author. To find out where the book will be, click on the title and look for the shelfmark, loan type, and whether the book is available.

 What can I borrow?

  • You can borrow up to 10 books at a time (this increase to 15 for Level H students)
  • Loan periods are for 24 hours, 7 days or 2 weeks
  • Some items may be Reference Only, meaning you can’t take them out of the library
  • You will need to get your library PIN from the Help point

 

Where are the books?

You will find books on Robotics in two different locations in the library.  Some will have a shelf mark around number 006 and are found on the ground floor, opposite Special Collections. Others are shelved around number 629 and are on the 1st floor of the library, towards the back of the building. Books on Robotics Surgery are found at 617.9.

You may also find relevant books in the IT/Computer Science section (0-070) and the Mathematics section (510-519).

 

Springer Robotics

There are also a number of recently published books from Springer – some that cover conference proceedings and up to date research findings. These titles include the Springer Handbook of Robotics and Robotics Research – which features findings from the International Symposium of Robotics Research.
